Engineers within corrosion, materials and FEM-modelling
We are currently very busy with several challenging and diverse projects related to corrosion consultancy, with projects within bridges, tunnels, offshore wind plus oil and gas.
Ramboll has been intensively involved in corrosion protection projects from design to on-site measurements in many industries – such as the offshore wind energy sector, oil and gas business, infrastructure, and buildings. Therefore, we have the insight and knowhow to assist in almost every aspect within corrosion.
We are seeking a skilled engineer, probably with a background within civil/structural, mechanical or electrochemical engineering, to strengthen our corrosion competence centre.
Based on your skills, the job could include everything from developing corrosion protection strategies, design of cathodic protection on both new and existing structures, with strong focus on design and optimization by use of corrosion modelling, drafting of coating specifications, corrosion monitoring and inspecting and field tests of corrosion problems of existing structures.
You will explore the exciting processes in Danish and international projects across all stages from planning through to construction and be working with highly talented engineers from Ramboll’s offices all over the world, who are at the forefront of innovative design techniques and who have worked on numerous significant projects.
Your responsibilities as engineer
You will contribute with the desire to learn and develop within all relevant aspects and disciplines of engineering.
You have a practical view on engineering and are willing to work hard on tight deadlines from time to time.
You will be expected to take initiatives to learn more. Your workplace will be Ramboll Head Office in Copenhagen but due to the international nature of our business, some traveling activities are to be expected since our colleagues and clients are located on different geographical locations.
You and your competencies
- You probably hold a master/bachelor’s degree within engineering.
- You are analytical, with focus on details, understanding the importance of correct and timely delivery.
- You have strong communication skills and like working in teams. Understanding the importance of working with a common goal and deadline is important.
- You are skilled within the use of state of the art FEM modelling software – we use COMSOL for our corrosion modelling jobs.
- You want to develop your skills within engineering and are looking for a permanent position with future career progression. Continual professional development will be provided to support this.
- You must be fluent in English, spoken as well as written since many of your possible future colleagues and clients only speak English. It will be an advantage if you speak one of the Nordic languages.
Join the Bridge and Tunnel Asset Management department
We are 30 highly dedicated employees in the department but work closely together with a large variety of other departments across both organisational and geographical boundaries in Ramboll. The department is part of Ramboll’s Transport division in Denmark.
We have developed several specialties which we apply to divisions and business units across the entire Ramboll. You will be placed in our corrosion competence centre, but you will have a possibility to not only work with corrosion protection, modelling etc., but also to engage in the entire service portfolio of the department, which focuses on existing structures, including inspections, repair and strengthening projects including drafting of tender materials, asset management systems, supervision and construction management.
Furthermore, it will be a possibility to be part of larger infrastructure projects across Ramboll.
